Job Description:

As a Scala Developer, you will be responsible for building Big Data services and pipelines using Scala. Your primary tasks will include developing algorithms to match data, identifying errors, and optimizing systems to enhance their scalability, efficiency, and speed. Additionally, you will drive process improvements by automating tasks and suggesting new features.

We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills and a creative mindset. Technical Skills:

• Strong programming and design skills
• Deep knowledge and extensive experience of the JVM (Java Virtual Machine) and Scala
• Experience with Event Streaming technologies, such a Kafka
• Ability to design and implement APIs and REST services
• Experience with one or more application frameworks like Spark, Akka, Play
• Big Data ETL and data streaming
• Experience with NoSQL Databases
• Experience or knowledge of applying Machine Learning or AI to large amounts of data

Soft Skills:

• Able to wear multiple hats
• Having a “do what it takes” ability and attitude
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
