At DataJob, we believe that every person has a unique story to tell. That’s why we are shining a light on our team members and sharing their stories in our #EmployeeSpotlight series. The first person we are featuring is Kritesh Mehra, a Software Engineer at DataJob.
Kritesh is known for his hard work and humble attitude, which makes him a great fit for our company culture of honest, dedicated experts. Keep reading to learn more about Kritesh’s career journey and what he brings to our team at DataJob.
Introducing Kritesh
Kritesh Mehra is one of the newer members of the DataJob team, but he’s already made a big impact. He’s worked in the IT industry for more than 9 years, and has experience in a range of different software development projects. Prior to moving to Sweden and joining DataJob, Kritesh was working in India and in the UK as a Java Developer and Technology Analyst.
In his spare time, Kritesh is an avid cook and enjoys watching murder mysteries and web-series on Netflix.
Kritesh enjoys living in Sweden, especially in Malmö, with its delicious cinnamon buns and beautiful summers. As he mentioned, Sweden is also a great place for parenting, and Kritesh enjoys the winter snow, even though it can be challenging at times.
Kritesh’s experience in DataJob
Professionally, Kritesh is thrilled to have the opportunity to work remotely and have predictable working hours with weekends off. This allows him to have a good work-life balance and also gives him the chance to continue learning and growing in his field.
We asked him about his current role in DataJob, this is what he said “I am working as a software engineer at DataJob, and my current client is IKEA. We are a team of 8 people and mostly we work remotely. I am working independently as a Java Developer and my biggest challenge at the moment is learning GCP (Google Cloud Platform). My daily tasks include code commit for sprint stories, unit test and integration test, and then submitting the PR for review. After the PR approval, I am deploying the application in GCP for further testing. We use Reactive Java (as a programming language), GCP (for containerization, CICD, etc), Spring Boot Microservices (as an orchestration), GitHub (for code check-in & check-out).”
Kritesh’s long-term goal is to become a Product Specialist, and he is excited about the potential opportunities in this field.
How Kritesh get relocated to Sweden
Kritesh’s relocation to Sweden was smooth. After getting selected, a team in DataJob dedicated to this matter filed an application for Kritesh and his wife’s work permit and dependent visa. Once granted a work permit, the relocation process was off to a great start.
DataJob not only secured their new home in advance, but we also made sure that it was comfortable and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. With everything already taken care of, all they had to do was arrive in Malmö and move into their new place – no extra effort or worry needed!
At DataJob, we provide excellent relocation services that are tailored to the client’s needs. The couple’s experience is a testament to this, highlighting how stress-free the entire process was for them.
